Alex Dylan Tapp, 30, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, as a result of an accident in rural Austin.
Alex was born Sept. 3, 1985, in Austin to Pamela and Bryon Tapp. He grew up in Austin and graduated from Southland High School in Adams. Following high school, Alex attended Riverland Community College. His love of the outdoors took him to Colorado where he enjoyed hiking. He lived there for a few years before returning to Austin. Alex enjoyed playing guitar, cooking and coffee, and he loved spending time with his friends. He was also active playing frisbee golf and biking. Alex will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Alex is survived by his parents Bryon (Bonnie) Tapp of Austin, Minnesota, and Pamela (Scott) Russell of Ypsilanti, Michigan; his brother Adam Tapp of Austin; his grandparents, Leslie and Shirley Tapp of Dexter, Minnesota, and Helen Finke of Austin; several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Lyle Finke; and his aunt Wanda Finke.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Worlein Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Tapp family or recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
