Lainy Smith and Lucas Tischer, of Austin, Minnesota, have announced their engagement.

Lainy is the daughter of Talli and Mark Smith of Austin. Grandparents are Joann Burthon and the late Thomas Harcus, of Austin, Angie Smith of Chino, California and Amelia Orue of Nicaragua, South America. She graduated from Austin High School in 2012 and is currently employed with Kwik Trip in Austin.

Lucas is the son of Michele and Alan Tischer of Austin, Minnesota. Grandparents are Dave and the late Deanna Tischer of Austin, Karen Berg of Owatonna, Minnesota, Gary Berg of Waseca, Minnesota, Betty Berg of Ellendale, Minnesota and Dorothy Matz of Waseca, Minnesota. Lucas graduated from Austin High School in 2012. Lucas is currently employed with International Paper in Austin.

The couple plan to wed in Las Vegas in spring of 2017.
