A driver involved in a hit and run with a parked truck near Casey’s General Store on April 22 has been arrested.

The driver, Eduardo Martinez, 22, of rural Austin, fled the scene after striking the vehicle in the 2000 block of 12th Street Southwest, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

Martinez later came to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and officers were able to speak with him. He admitted to hitting the vehicle and was later arrested for a DWI.
