Mower County Senior Center
For all you that have registered for the Aging Mastery program our next program is Exercise and You at 2 p.m. on Monday.
We are very excited to have two expert speakers: Rena Langowski who is a personal trainer, and Terri Bergstrom talking about meditation. We have started a waiting list for the fall session if you are interested.
Also at 6 p.m. this Monday during our Facebook class we will have a special speaker. Detective Steve Sandvik of the Mower County Sheriff’s Department will talk about on-line safety.
Email has become an essential tool for communicating, which is why it is so popular with scammers, cybercriminals, and advertising companies. Scam artists in the U.S. and around the world defraud millions of people each year by using the Internet to trick victims into sending money or giving out personal information.
Money lost in Internet crimes hit a new high last year, topping about $240 million, according to a government report. In order to protect ourselves from phishing scams and malware, it is essential that we learn how to safely manage our mail. Please feel free to attend this informative class. Everyone is welcome.
Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we are having goulash hotdish for only $2.
