The Austin baseball team had two strong pitching performances as it swept Albert Lea (3-6 overall, 2-5 Big Nine) by scores of 5-3 and 2-1 in AL Tuesday.

Nate Conner went all seven innings to get the win in the first game and Jason Stoulil pitched six and one-thirds of an inning to get the win in the nightcap.

“It was a good two wins for the boys today,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “Nate and Jason eating up all of those innings really helped us, especially when we’ve got a doubleheader at Mankato West on Thursday.”
