Roosen shines as Blue Devils sweep Minnesota West

The Riverland Community College baseball team opened its conference schedule on a strong note as it swept Minnesota West by scores of 12-0 and 7-4 on the road Saturday.
Kenyon-Wanamingo grad Alex Roosen pitched a six-inning, two-hit shutout in the first game as he struck out 11 for the Blue Devils (17-5 overall, 2-0 MCAC).
“It was by far the best he’s pitched this year,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said.
