The Austin Area Commission for the Arts is proud to welcome our new Marketing Coordinator Adam Pulchinski and Education Coordinator Lana Kenyon.
Adam is (mostly) a lifelong resident of Austin, taking a seven-year hiatus to go to school in the Twin Cities metro area, moving back to Austin in 2009. He finished his degree in mass communications with an emphasis in journalism at Minnesota State University- Mankato.
After working in retail and freelancing for a few newspapers, Adam is now a full time service advisor at a car dealership in addition to his part-time work with the AACA.
Working for the AACA combines Adam’s educational training with his long time interest in the arts — especially drawing, animation, the written word movies, and live music.
Lana has a sales and recruiting background, but like Adam, always possessed a passion for the arts. This love for the arts runs through her family.
Her father painted growing up, her mother is a professional pianist, and her brother graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago.
Lana’s involvement with the arts in Austin started when she served as the co-chair for the first ArtWorks Festival marketing committee in 2012.
This work helped her recognize the impact that the arts can have on a community like Austin.
In addition to her Education Coordinator position, Lana is currently on the Visual Artists Committee for the ArtWorks Festival, as well as on the board for the Hormel Historic Home where she works with their musical programs. Both Adam and Lana are tremendous assets to the AACA and will work hard to help the arts continue to thrive in Austin.
