An Austin woman was sentenced to probation Thursday in Mower County court for trashing a home and assaulting another woman.

Tempestt Noel Haymore, 28, of Austin was sentenced to two years of supervised probation, with one year supervised and one year unsupervised. Haymore must also write a letter of apology to the victim. If she violates the terms of her probation, she will serve a year in Mower County Jail.

Haymore was convicted of gross misdemeanor third-degree damage to property and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault inflicting bodily harm. She initially faced two other felony charges of first degree burglary, but they were dismissed in a plea agreement.

According to a court complaint, Haymore allegedly broke into a home at the 800 block of 12th Avenue Southwest on Aug. 8, 2015 after she found her boyfriend there. The victim, who was in the shower at the time, later told police she came out of the bathroom to discover Haymore had allegedly smashed a mirror and a TV.

Haymore left with her boyfriend around 4:30 p.m. but returned about 10 minutes later with Shante Denise Morgan, 25, of Austin. Another victim told police Haymore allegedly forced her way around her to get inside the home with a bottle of bleach. The second victim reported Haymore poured bleach all over the walls, floor, on furniture and clothes, and more.

She then allegedly got a bottle of antifreeze and poured it inside the first victim’s car.

The second victim yelled for Haymore to stop but was allegedly punched in the face by Morgan. Haymore and Morgan then allegedly knocked the second victim to the ground before they hit and kicked her.

Haymore also faces two counts of third-degree drug sale after she was arrested on May 13 as part of a three-month joint investigation between area law enforcement into heroin sales in the community.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 26 for the assault and damages.

Morgan also faces similar charges and pleaded not guilty on August 20, 2015 to aiding or abetting first-degree burglary — assault, first-degree burglary in an occupied dwelling, first-degree criminal damage with more than $1,000 in damages, and fifth-degree assault. She has not been sentenced yet.
