A Craftsman air compressor, wrenches, pliers, ShopVac vacuum and other tools are missing from a shop on Highway 218 south of Austin.
The victim said he noticed the tools missing on April 27 and reported the burglary Wednesday, according to Mower County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Mark May. Upon investigation, Mower County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered a window was left open.
The tools were in a blue and black bag. The air compressor is valued at $100, vacuum is valued at $40 and the tools are worth about $275 altogether.
A neighbor said they saw a dark blue Chevy Venture van with Iowa plates stop at the property and two young women got out of the van.
