The Southland softball team lost both games of a doubleheader to Chatfield in Rose Creek Thursday.

Chatfield (12-2 overall, 12-2 Three Rivers) won the first game 11-8 in 10 innings and it took the nightcap 12-6.

The Rebels (4-11 overall, 4-11 Three Rivers) led 8-7 going into the seventh inning of the first game, but it couldn’t hold on.

“We played very well and I was very pleased with the girls,” Southland head coach Greg Schulte said.
