The Lyle-Pacelli baseball team picked up its biggest win of the season when it knocked off No. 1 ranked Randolph (15-1 overall, 7-1 SEC) 3-2 in 10 innings in Marcusen Park Tuesday.
Jordan Cotter delivered a two-run walk-off hit with two strikes to win the game for the Athletics (14-2 overall, 13-2 SEC).
Daniel Bollingberg pitched all 10 innings to pick up the win for LP as he struck out nine.
“Daniel pitched maybe his best game in the five years I have been coaching, he wanted it bad,” LP head coach Brock Meyer said. “His defense did a great job behind him. Whenever Daniel is pitching and we have no errors we have a good chance to win a game. Hopefully, it’s a good confidence builder for the playoffs and we can keep this momentum going.”
