The Mitchell County Conservation Board will be offering a Free Family Fishing Clinic from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 4 at Riverside Park in Stacyville, Iowa.

This event is part of celebrating the state-wide Free Fishing Weekend, June 3-5 offered through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Each year during the first weekend in June, Iowa residents can enjoy a weekend of free fishing without a license. During the rest of the year, anyone 16 years of age and older needs a fishing license to legally fish in Iowa.
