Sixteen classes of about 365 total kindergarteners lined up outside Woodson Kindergarten Center Thursday morning to dance their tails off on video.

Dressed in matching black and gold, Principal Jessica Cabeen and teacher Brian House led the charge, as the kindergarteners first danced to “Critter Party” — based on Koo Koo Kangaroo’s “Cat Party” — and then to “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).”

The group dance wrapped filming on Woodson’s annual end-of-the-year, all-school video, which has become a tradition under Cabeen’s leadership. Prior videos set to “Pop See Koo” and “Harlem Shake” have garnered thousands of views on YouTube.

The Herald chronicled the process behind making this year’s “Critter Party” video and will publish a feature on Sunday, June 5, around the time the video is set to be released.
