7th person in May ‘15 heroin sting sentenced

The final person arrested in a May 2015 heroin sting is sentenced to a stay of adjudication.
Isaiah John Wagner, 31 was charged with felony fifth-degree drug possession on May 15, 2015. He pleaded guilty on Oct. 15, 2015 and was sentenced last month to five years of adjudication.
A stay of adjudication means the person will not have a conviction on their record if they obey the terms set by a judge for a pre-determined amount of time.
Wagner is one of seven people charged last May after a three-month investigation into a local heroin distribution ring with ties to Chicago criminals.
Others charged in the case include:
— Albert Lovell Cannon, 57, of Austin was charged with second-degree sale of drugs with three or more grams of heroin, a felony. He received four years in prison with credit for 133 days already served.
— Verna Danielle Cannon, 53, of Austin was charged with fifth-degree possession of drugs, a felony. She received five years probation.
— Tempestt Haymore, 28, of Austin was also charged with fifth-degree possession of drugs, a felony, and received five years of probation, but after a probation violation on Jan. 27, she will serve 30 days in Mower County Jail with credit for five days already served.
— Nicholas Miller, 27, of Brainerd was charged with fifth-degree possession of drugs, a felony, and received five years of probation and 40 hours of community service.
— Perry Black, 25, of Albert Lea was charged with third-degree drug sales, a felony, and sentenced to 20 years of home monitoring, three days in Mower County Jail and 40 hours of community service.
— Steven Matthew Davis, 32, of Austin was sentenced to over two years in prison with credit for 308 days already served. He was charged with third-degree sale of drugs, a felony, and a subsequent offense.
