Best Bets: Adams Dairy Days starts Friday

Mower County is kicking its annual small-town festivals into gear this weekend with the annual Dairy Days celebration in Adams. Plus, people have the chance to check out some summer football and catch a few fish on East Side Lake.

All day Friday, Saturday and Sunday around Adams
Adams’ annual Dairy Days celebration returns with a wide variety community celebration and lots of events for kids and adults — ice cream eating contest, milking contest, parade, rummage sales, concerts,sports, and more. 2. SE Minnesota Warhawks
4 p.m. Saturday
This area amateur football team will provid plenty of hits and action in a home game when they take on the Southern Plains League at Wescott Athletic Complex.
3. 23rd Annual Take a Kid Fishing Day
12 to 2 p.m. on Sunday at East Side Lake.
Signup starts at 11 a.m. and fishing starts at noon for the annual Take a Kid Fishing day. The event is open to all children under age 14. Lunch available for a donation.
