A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle Thursday afternoon along with two Snickers candy bars and a Powerade beverage.

The theft happened at about 4:06 p.m. on the 2000 block of First Avenue Southeast when the victim was picking up his child from daycare, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

He said he was gone for about 10 minutes and when he came back, his wallet was missing. Several credit cards and cash were also missing from the wallet.
