Fall trips include a trip to the ‘Lion King’

On Thursday we will make the long anticipated trip to the award winning musical “The Lion King” at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis.
This musical, written by Elton John, has been given over six awards.
Songs such as “Circle of Life” and “Can You feel the Love Tonite?” will stay with you long after you leave the theater.
The motorcoach will depart from Walmart at 9:15 a.m. with a return time Of about 6:30 p.m.
Upcoming trips
Sept. 28: Four-hour riverboat cruise on the Mississippi, departing from Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. There will be live entertainment, narration, and a lunch buffet on the four-tier paddlewheller. Guests can be inside for a beautiful view or on the top outside deck. Generating much interest, you may call our travel number for more information.
We will depart at 7 a.m. and return about 7 p.m. Fees are due by Aug. 29.
Oct. 4-12: Southwest and National Balloon Fest will be our annual extended trip this fall.
We will visit Oklahoma City, Santa Fe and Denver with the National Balloon Fest in Albuquerque, New Mexico highlighting our trip.
Our three nights will begin with a local guide who will share the fascinating story of America’s oldest and most colorful community. The next day will begin early as we will be at mass ascension of participating balloons, which extends the length of more than 54 football fields. We will have a full schedule for all of the days at the festival.
Each night there will be a giant fireworks display.
There are still openings and you do not need to be member of the Mower County Senior Center to join us. The mode of transportation will be a deluxe motorcoach. Fliers are available near the south entrance door or by calling our travel number at 507-438-3946.
Plans are in the works for several more travel opportunities including the “White Christmas” production at the Ordway Theatre in St. Paul, across from Rice Park.
Also we are returning to host a New Years Eve overnight trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre for a gala evening. The show this year will be the truly great American musical classic,”Camelot.”
