CDs, two bags of library books and several checks were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot around 7 a.m. on Saturday.
According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, the victim went into Wal-Mart around 6:30 a.m. and left his vehicle unlocked. Wal-Mart surveillance footage showed a small, silver, four-door vehicle pull up beside the car. Two suspects got out of their car, lifted the hood of the victim’s car while one suspect got in and stole the items. One of the checks stolen was written out for $150.
The police were unable to identify a license plate number and there are no suspects at this time.
