Rita C. Wolterman, 98, of Adams, Minnesota, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Cedar Court Apartments.

Rita was born June 13, 1918, in Breda, Iowa, to Bernard and Agnes (Grote) Stork. She married Harold Wolterman on July 11, 1945, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breda, Iowa, and lived and farmed in the area until 1956, when they moved to Adams and continued farming. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Adams American Legion Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women and the Jolly Dozen card club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, infant daughter Mary, and granddaughter Kayla Wolterman.

Rita is survived by her children: Phyllis Halbach of Scottsdale, Arizona, Tom (Betty) Wolterman of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Dean (Sarah) Wolterman of Mena, Arkansas, Mark (Carleen) Wolterman of Adams, Minnesota, JoAnn (Randy) Rollie of Austin, Minnesota, and Bob (Anita) Wolterman of Adams, Minnesota; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Swaminatha Pothireddy officiating. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday with a 5 p.m. rosary and prayer service. Visitation will also be at the church for one hour before the service on Wednesday.

Memorials may be designated to the Sacred Heart Catholic School.
