The Austin girls tennis team opened its season with a 7-0 loss to Rochester Mayo at the Albert Lea triangular Tuesday.
The Packers (0-1 overall, 0-1 Big Nine) had their match against AL postponed due to rain.
Against Mayo, the Austin duo of Kellie Baier and Tara Watkins played strong in the second set as they lost 6-0, 6-3 in No. 1 doubles.
