Man killed, 3 hurt in car-utility vehicle crash

KENSINGTON — The State Patrol says a crash between a utility vehicle and a car has killed a man and injured three other people in western Minnesota, including two girls.
Preliminary information from the patrol indicates no one was wearing seat belts in Saturday’s crash. It happened just before 8 p.m. on Highway 55 in Douglas County.
The Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/2aCNN1X) reports the patrol says the utility vehicle was headed southeast on the highway when it turned to go down a side road and crossed in front of the car.
A 45-year-old man from Hoffman who was driving the utility vehicle was killed. The patrol says he was not wearing a helmet.
A 21-year-old Kensington man who was driving the car and two girls in his car, ages 11 and 13, were hurt.
