Nathan Wradislavsky graduated from the Austin High School and now that his children are on the same path, he hopes to make an impact on their education.
Wradislavsky recently filed to run for school board this coming November. The 40-year-old AHS alumni hopes to get more involved with his former school district and be a part of the school board.
“[AHS] provided me a great educational foundation,” he said. “I want to serve the community and school district the best I can.
His three children, ages 10, 4 and 4 months, are part of the reason he decided to get involved. Wradislavsky had contemplated his candidacy for a couple years and he believes now the time is right.
“I want to be a part of shaping [their] future,” he said. “We’ve got a great school board, but I want to be a part of that and help the organization, my kids and the other kids in the district.”
In his spare time, Wradislavsky manages the Austin Big Band, directs the choir at St. John’s church and serves on the Austin Music Boosters board, among other activities. He also spends much of his time with his family.
The election will be held Nov. 8. Three school board seats are up for election this year.
