Doris F. Kaus, 74

Doris F. Kaus, 74, of Austin, Minnesota died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

Doris Faye Heinzerling was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Adams, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Ruby (Ingham) Heinzerling. A graduate of Adams High School, Doris went on to work for Hormel Foods in a clerical position, retiring after 41 years. In July 1960, Doris and Dale Kaus were married in Adams, Minnesota. The couple raised three daughters, Karla, Rachele, and Dora. Doris enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially recreational boating and traveling with Dale when he raced outboard motor boats. She also enjoyed gardening, needlework, and crocheting. Doris will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband Dale of Austin; her daughters Karla (John) Weis of Champlin, Minnesota, Rachele “Shelly” (Gary) Nelson of Austin, and Dora Kaus of Shakopee, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Chase Nelson and Braxton Helmers; her sister Maxine (Harold) Hanson of Clarks Grove, Minnesota, and two brothers, Glen (Dallas) Heinzerling of Osage, Iowa, and Dean (Jan) Heinzerling of Sun City, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ruby Heinzerling, two brothers, Carl Heinzerling and Butch Heinzerling, and one sister Phyllis Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Peter Soli officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. immediately preceding the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to recipient of donor’s choice.
