The Austin girls soccer team picked up a 2-1 win over Faribault (0-5 overall, 0-3 Big Nine) on the road Tuesday.

The Packers (3-3 overall, 2-2 Big Nine) trailed 1-0 at the half, but they bounced back in the second half. Sydney Marsh tied the game on an assist from Emily Hegna 3:41 into the second half and Kallie Bumgarner scored the game winner on an assist from Isabel Leuer with 18 minutes left in the game.

“[The game winner] was a beautiful play,” Austin head coach Jake Levisen said. “The forwards were playing together. Isabel got a nice lay-off pass and she made a perfect lay-off pass to Kallie. It was a text book style play and it fired all of the girls up.”
