A Cedar River bike-pedestrian bridge and the adjacent path in Austin is closed because of trail damage, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The bridge, which is north of Interstate 90 in Austin between the Fourth Street and Sixth Street exits, is closed because of a washout area on the pavement on the west side approach to the bridge. MnDOT has fenced off the area.
The trail will remain closed until full repairs can be made at the site. Pedestrians and bicyclists should use alternate routes during the interim. They should not go around the barriers and fencing.
