The Mower County Habitat & Pheasants Forever chapter would like to thank all the hunters and volunteers who helped make the Hunt for a Cure event on Saturday, Oct. 8. a success. Approximately 35 hunters gathered at Three Arrows game preserve in LeRoy, Minnesota, to get outdoors, hunt pheasants, and most importantly support The Hormel Institute. The funds raised by Hunt for a Cure support Paint the Town Pink and breast cancer research at The Hormel Institute. Special thanks to local businesses Three Arrows Game Preserve, D & G Ace Hardware, Jim’s SuperFresh, Jim’s Marketplace Foods and Hy-Vee for providing donations to support the event. Also thank you to Mike & Mary Nelson, Kirk & Wendy Rolfson, Jamie & Amy Surdy, Arlen & Mary Schamber, Marty Lienau, Dave & Sue Thorpe, Davin Alan, Scott Nelson, Dave & Barb Solland, Paul Jenkins, and the countless others who helped make this event a success. We look forward to growing this event each year moving forward so that we can continue to support The Hormel Institute and cancer research.
Jamie Surdy,
President of Mower County Habitat & Pheasants Forever
