Two witnesses reported gunshots were fired after a tussle between two groups Saturday morning in northwest Austin.
The witnesses told police they were walking a little before 3 a.m. when they saw two groups of about eight total people wearing dark clothing approach one another on the 200 block of 11th St. NW and begin yelling, according to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger.
The witnesses reported one group appeared to have baseball bats, and the other fired two to three gunshots into the air.
The witnesses fled the scene.
Officers searched the area and found a spent 12-gauge round, an unused 12-gauge round and a shotgun wad.
Police have no suspects at this time.
