Don’t forget to ‘fall back’ this weekend

It’s time to fall back.
Most people in the United States can enjoy an extra hour of sleep this weekend, thanks to the annual shift back to standard time.
The change officially occurs at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 6. Most people usually set their clocks back before heading to bed Saturday night. The shift moves one hour of daylight to the morning from the evening.
Residents of Hawaii, most of Arizona and some U.S. territories don’t have to change; daylight saving time is not observed in those places.
Public safety officials say this is also a good time to put a new battery in the smoke alarm, no matter where you live.
So good news: You’ll get an extra hour of sleep on Sunday.
But bad news: You’ll have to give that hour of sleep back when daylight saving starts again and we jump ahead on Sunday, March 12.
