Former Austin coach headed to MGHCA Hall of Fame

Former Austin head girls hockey coach Denny Bray will be inducted into the Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame at the 2017 Minnesota state girls hockey tournament at Xcel Energy Center Feb. 24.
Bray will be honored, along with Steve Guider, the head coach at Blaine, and John Schultz, a long-time assistant coach at Moorehead.
Bray took over the Packer girls hockey program just one year after it began and he coached Austin for 16 years. He guided the Packers to three state tournaments and he finished with a career coaching record of 215-193-7.
