The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team beat Dordt College JV 87-79 in its season opener in Worthington Friday.

Darius Bell poured in 21 points and he grabbed 13 rebounds for the Blue Devils (1-0 overall) as they outscored Dordt 51-43 in the second half.

“Our guys played really hard in the second half and changed up our defense a little bit,” RCC head coach Derek Hahn said.
