Two male juveniles from Austin could face charges of third-degree burglary and criminal damage to property after they allegedly broke into Austin’s Riverside Arena on Wednesday.
The juveniles, ages 14 and 16, are being held at the Many Rivers Juvenile Detention Center in Rochester.
According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers were notified of a break-in in progress at the arena at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday.
A perimeter was set up around the arena, where officers found glass broken on a south door upon arrival.
Inside, officers found a cash register and office door damaged.
Two juveniles were seen running northbound in the Austin City Hall parking lot and were later apprehended, Krueger said.
No damage estimate was available.
