Shirley Montgomery, 91

Shirley Fay Montgomery, 91, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Dec. 2, 2016.

She was born March 22, 1925, to Adolph and Gladys Paegel and was raised in Mankato, Minnesota.

She lived in Austin for 60 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1216 in Austin.

She is survived by her children: Linda of Hayward, Minnesota, Jerome of Austin, Jerome and Lorrie Wing of Austin, Mark Montomery and Connie Nessett of Missouri, and Rodger Montgomery of Austin.

She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

The family is very grateful and thankful for the care the received from her two granddaughters, Cindy Kilby and Vanessa Davis.
