The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team was coming off a 21-day break, but it picked up right where it left off as it beat Luther JV 79-62 in RCC to win its third straight game Thursday.
Abdibari Abdikadir, a sophomore from Bloomington, had 14 points and 10 rebounds to pick up his second double-double of the season for the Blue Devils (8-4 overall).
“Abdi had a nice game for us and he made some really big plays for us,” RCC head coach Derek Hahn said. “These kind of games scare me a little bit, because that’s a long time off. We played a really good first half.”
RCC will begin conference play when they play at Minnesota West Wednesday.
Luther 32 32 — 62
RCC 50 29 — 79
RCC scoring: Jace Klinkner, 17; Abdibari Abdikadir, 14; Darius Bell, 13; Sam Kuany, 10; Kyler Paulson, 4; Brandon Harper, 2; Marcus Wynn, 2; Donte Makazu, 2
