The No. 7 ranked Austin boys basketball team had to overcome a hot start by Owatonna to win 72-62 on the road Thursday.

Dalton Kubista came out shooting for the Huskies (12-4 overall, 10-3 Big Nine) as he scored 16 of his 26 points in the first 10 minutes of the contest. Owatonna led 21-14 early in the game.

“He just started out on fire and we did a poor job early of recognizing where he was at,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said of Kubista. “Then we settled down and started playing our style of ball.”
