Chris W. Tiernan Jr., 61, of San Francisco, California, passed Jan. 8, 2017.
He was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Chris W. and Marilyn G. Tiernan. Chris went to elementary, junior high, and high school in Austin, Minnesota, and graduated in 1973. He attended St. Edwards Catholic Church. His father and grandfather owned the local bowling alley, Echo Lanes, in Austin. Growing up in a bowling alley, he learned at an early age to have fun, crack jokes, and have a good sense of humor. He attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1977 with a business degree. Retired from the high-tech sales industry, he found joy in motorcycle riding, spending time with friends and family and his beloved dogs.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Yamamura; his nieces, Kotomi Yamamura and Michelle Lucadello; nephew, Andrew Tiernan; aunts, Arlyne Nish and Nadyne Michael; and cousins Deb Gard, Jackye McAlister.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert Tiernan.
Chris will be laid to rest in a private burial service at Calvary Cemetery in Lincoln, Nebraska. Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 1352, Travis AFB, CA, 94535.
