A 23-year-old Rose Creek man will serve supervised probation, must register as a predatory offender and must abide by several conditions for possessing pornographic work involving a minor.
Evan Jon Hill was sentenced Thursday in Mower County District Court to a stayed 15-month jail term — which means he’ll serve five years of supervised probation — for one count of possessing pornographic work involving a minor, a felony. He received credit for 180 days served.
He must abide by 31 total conditions, such as: registering as a predatory offender, completing a sex offender program and attending therapy, submitting to polygraph examinations as directed, disclosing his criminal history to potential significant others, and he can’t possess a computer or device with internet access unless given permission by a probation agent.
According to a court complaint, a woman discovered 10 inappropriate images on his cell phone last year when she looked through the deleted photos taken on the phone.
