The Austin Bruins picked up a much needed road win when they beat Coulee Region (27-24-2 overall) on the road Friday.

The Bruins (21-27-2-5 overall) did most of their offensive damage in the first period when Michael Piehler scored his 12th goal of the year, Jan Stefka scored his 16th goal of the year and Evan Cholak scored his 9th goal of the season.

Jake Kucharski stopped 39 shots to get the win in net.

The Bruins have five games remaining on the season and they will host their final home game when they Coulee Region in Riverside Arena 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
