Clarence Wilfred Henderson, 91, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away in peace on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Clarence, fondly known as Klink, was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to Nels and Helena (Nelson) Henderson, the youngest of six children. On Feb. 14, 1970, he married Darlene Ann Chrz in Northwood, Iowa. Clarence served in the U. S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. After an honorable discharge, he moved to Cumberland, Wisconsin, and started work at the Ford Motor Company in the parts department and Dry-Bak. He also worked as a volunteer fireman, EMT at Cumberland Utilities, and a maintenance technician at the Cumberland Hospital. Clarence enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including woodworking, bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting, going to the races, watching football, crosswords and reading. There was not an art or craft he could not master.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; daughter, Vonnie (Carroll); sons, Craig (Cheryl), Randy (Deb), and Mike (Kristen); daughter, Michelle (Steve); many nieces and nephews; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; first wife, Mabel (Youngberg) Henderson; and daughter, Patricia (Henderson) Sebens.
