The No. 6 seeded Blooming Prairie boys basketball team had its season come to an end in a 56-45 loss at No. 3 Faribault Bethlehem Academy (15-11 overall) in a Section 1A West quarterfinal game in Faribault Thursday.
BP (10-15 overall) was within 48-45 with tree minutes left, but FBA was able to close out the game at the free throw line.
“There is no reason for the boys to hang their heads,” BP head coach Nate Piller said. “They competed at a very high level and played some of their best basketball of the season. We ran a little short on time.”
Kaden Thomas had 19 points to lead BP.
BP 25 20 — 45
