Two occupants of a van had minor injuries in an early morning rollover crash Wednesday at the intersection of Third Avenue and Ninth Street Northwest.

Just shortly after midnight, a Cadillac headed eastbound on Third Avenue collided at an uncontrolled intersection with a van, which was traveling southbound on Ninth. The impact caused the van to roll, said Police Chief Brian Krueger.

Two occupants of the van complained of head pain and were transported by Gold Cross to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin. They returned to the scene less than an hour later, so it appeared their injuries were not significant, said Krueger.

It was also later discovered that three children were also in the van, but went to a nearby neighbor’s house before police arrived. They were apparently uninjured. Their ages were not available.
