Bruins take out Bismarck, 5-3

The Austin Bruins picked up a 5-3 win over Bismarck on the road Friday night.
The Bruins jumped out to a 2-0 lead after first-period goals by Quinn Martin and Justin Misiak. They extended that lead to 3-0 with a goal at 10:47 of the second.
Jack Murphy added another goal in the third to put the Bruins up 4-0, but the Bobcats managed to cut the score to 4-3 with three straight goals before Travis Kothenbeutel’s unassisted goal late.
Jake Kucharski got the win between the pipes, making 36 saves.
The Bruins (22-27-4-5) will wrap up their season Saturday night against Bismarck in Bismarck. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
