Community pride
We will try something new this year for our annual Community Pride Day pick-up of our public green spaces.
Starting April 20 bags and gloves can be picked up at our office, now located in City Hall at 500 Fourth Ave. NE.
We will record where Individuals and groups want to clean up and give us an approximate date. This will give groups a more flexible time frame and weather can also be factored in.
Everyone will have until April 30 to complete their pick-up. We will collect all the bags and dispose of them. This is a much-appreciated opportunity for the community to help pick up our parks and green spaces.
Learn about birds
Stan Tekiela will present “Bird Nests: Amazingly Ingenious and Intricate” program at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, in Ruby Rupner Auditorium at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center.

This free program is full of fun details told with Stan’s great sense of humor. Please RSVP by Monday, April 17, by calling 507-437-7519 or info@hormelnaturecenter.org.
