Support library’s spring used book sale

Calling all used books.
We hope our readers will take the time to consider supporting a great event.
The Friends of the Austin Public Library is seeking donations of gently used books for its annual spring sale.
Like the fall sale, the library’s used book sales have come to be great events for the library, where people can page through a wide variety of relatively cheap used books in good condition.
But organizers are still seeking more donations for this year.
Books can be brought to the small meeting room of the library, where volunteers will sort them before the sale, which will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 5 and 6 with a bag sale from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 6 for $4 per bag.
The sale is held twice a year in the fall and the spring in the two meeting rooms at the library. The sale features books for adults, children and young adult books, as well as other items.
The Friends are not taking encyclopedias, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, or dirty or smelly books. Books donated to the sale can’t be damaged, and the library doesn’t accept textbooks for the sale.
The money raised will benefit the library and AAUW’s scholarship fund.
It’s a great event to support, whether through buying donating gently used books or stopping by to find a few new reads.
