The senior ministry team is bringing back the annual fun, social and educational day on Thursday, May 18.
Cost for the day is $5, with coffee and treat, and lunch, included.
There are three classes to choose from; those attending should choose two:
From “Sick-Care to Health-Care as Yourself as Healer” — Danya Jondal, with a masters degree in health and spirituality, she will encourage us in creative ways to be healthy and whole.
“Long Distance Connecting with Family and Friends — Skyping with Hannah Rosholt, Dave Sylte and Connie Simonson” — Distance separates us, so how to stay connected? Hannah will demonstrate the use of Skype and the three will share their experiences with grandchildren etc.
“Austin’s Architecture: The Town’s Changing Face” — The presentation shows how Austin looked from its founding and into the 20th century; shares how historians analyze old photos to determine the era in which they were taken. Mower County Historical Society Director John Haymond will share old photos.
Keynote speaker for the day is Pastor Ron Jensen and he will speak on “Faith Journey.” He will share his personal journey through 11 years of active cancer treatments, the last eight years with metastasis, riding a roller coaster of emotions grounded in faith.
