The Lyle-Pacelli softball team was swept by Mabel-Canton (4-3 overall, 2-2 SEC) by scores of 12-2 in five innings and 11-1 in Todd Park Tuesday.

LP (1-3 overall, 1-2 SEC) stranded 23 runners on base in the loss and the Athletics turned five double plays. Danielle Hinz took the loss in game one as she allowed seven earned runs, while striking out four and freshman Andrea Cecil took the loss in game two as she allowed eight earned runs and struck out two.

“We are just out of sync trying to play catch up with these other teams,” LP head coach Jeff Yocom said. “We just need to catch a couple breaks and we will be alright.”
