PEM edges Southland softball team

The Southland softball team lost to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (10-5 overall, 10-5 Three Rivers) 4-2 on the road Tuesday.
Southland (2-12 overall, 2-12 Three Rivers) took a 2-1 lead in the top of the second inning, but the Bulldogs scored three runs in the bottom of the second to secure the lead for good.
“We had our opportunities and we played pretty well on defense,” Southland head coach Greg Schulte said. “It’s tough to lose, but we’ve been playing the good teams close lately.”
