Preston man involved in Hwy. 56 crash Thursday

A 53-year-old Preston man was involved in a crash Thursday night in Mower County that caused his vehicle to briefly catch fire.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports a 2002 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Highway 56 east of LeRoy around 7:21 p.m. when it hit the side embankment of a gravel driveway, launched and rolled once.
The car briefly caught fire, according to the Mower County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver’s condition was not known Friday morning, but the State Patrol planned to release more details later in the day.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, LeRoy Fire Department, LeRoy First Responders and LeRoy Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
