We are participating in the Longest Day of the Year event on June 21.
For those of you who didn’t participate last year it is to show our love for all those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
This year we are having an event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mower County Senior Center. Included in this are booths from Sacred Heart, Seniors helping Seniors, Senior Center Caregiver’s Support group and Dementia Screening.
There will be a grill out from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with brat or hamburger, beans, chips and dessert for $5. Dementia videos will be running in the lobby. Wear your purple and support those with Alzheimer’s June 21.
Also at 2 p.m. on June 21 we will be hosting a fairy garden class. Dolan’s in Austin will be teaching the class and bring all the supplies. They will also bring succulents and put together fairy gardens if you want to purchase one premade. If you would like to attend this class stop by the senior center front desk or call 1-507-433-2370.
Join us for lunch at noon on Friday, June 23rd starting at noon. Come and bring a friend or spoil the father in your life with a hearty lunch. We are having Windsor pork chop, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables and dessert. Cost is $9 for members and $10 for non-members.
Bring a friend and enjoy the entertainment. Please book by calling 1-507-433-2370 or stop by the front desk to make your reservation for noon on Friday.
