Summer has arrived and we are anxious to get out those summer outfits and even ready for all the Independence Day activities.

We will be going to the quaint town of Excelsior, Minnesota. This town is situated by Lake Minnetonka, which gives it a charming vacation feel.

Upon arrival, personal attendants will share accessorizing tips on scarf tying , accessorize jewelry  and have a mini style show. They are well known for serving a delicious hot tea and goodie, for their shoppers.  Those interested may enjoy an hour and a half cruise around Lake Minnetonka. Several outdoor eating places will be available.

We will be loading the motorcoach at 8:15 a.m. from the Wal-Mart parking lot. Return time will be about 5:30 p.m.

Our next outing is planned for Thursday, July 13 for the delightful production of “Mary Poppins” at the Marion Ross Theatre in Albert Lea. We reserve our tickets early in this season for the opening night production. A mystery meal will again be served prior to the show. We will depart at 4:30 p.m. as always, from the south end of Wal-Mart. That fee is due by June 27 with two seats now available.

•July 26: “Grease” At the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. The fee for this show is due by June 27.

•Aug. 23: “Grease.” This is our second bus trip with a waiting list. Fees are due by July 25.

Aug. 9: Annual Mystery Trip. This trip will depart at 8 a.m. and return time will be 6 p.m. It’s always fun to look around for new places. I think this will be another new one.

The fee for this trip is due by July 23. We will have extra people working  these due dates.

We are looking at  five countries on the Danube River for upcoming riverboat cruises in September 2018. We have a great promotion going on so contact us for more information.

With summer here, there may be limited hours in our travel office.  Payments can be sent or dropped off at the Mower County Senior Center  at the travel office 9:30 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday.
