City Council to hear report on downtown parking Monday

The Austin City Council will discuss a downtown parking study during its work session on Monday.
The parking study was completed on June 5 and will be presented by City Engineer and Public Works Director Steven Lang. The study focused on 15 parking lots and 30 blocks of on-street parking.
In other business, the council will accept a grant from the Hormel Foundation during the regular Monday meeting. The $2 million grant was approved by the Hormel Foundation board on June 27 and will be used toward city operations. The grant will be officially transferred to the city on Nov. 16.
Planning and Zoning Administrator will also review fencing ordinances during the work session.
The City Council will hold its next regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the council chamber on the lower level of City Hall on Monday, July 3. The work session will be held in conference room A across the hall immediately following the meeting.
